As an italian I can say Essence gets away with that shit cause it's the most afforable brand in Europe. Their range, their taste are exclusively german-middle school catered. Consider the fact that elf products come overpriced for import costs compared to how much they cost in the US. Even Revolution is getting more expensive since brexit happened, so essence doesn't even have to try cause it has barely any competition. About Kiko: their limited editions have the same 3/4 eyeshadows scheme repeated. I find their regular line so much more valuable even taken the fact that they use cheaper packs. At least there are more colors

It's just a rip-off, and when you think of it, Revlon, L'Oréal, Maybelline, etc..... have all been around much longer, more experience in mixing make-up formulas and less than half the price!!! Highend make-up is just Snobbery!! Some have new and breakthrough products, but not all, and most of it is just a sales pitch, its crap, was crap, is crap and always will be!!! Chemist/Drug Store are going to remain my stable... occasionally a highend special blend or colour will catch my eye and I'll buy it, but it's not the majority of my kit!!!!😊

PSA: you can't rely on foundation with SPF claims for your sunscreen. You cannot apply any foundation thick enough to get anywhere near the coverage they are claiming on the bottle. Always apply sunscreen separately. Lab Muffin Beauty Science has some great videos on this topic and actually does some experiments to prove it (she is a chemist).

It was color oriented so you knew which ones to get based on your skin type, and the yellow moisturizer was good for everyone. It was an easy starting off skin care line

My heart breaks that I can’t get the Supergoop Tinted Sunscreen, it uses zinc oxide as the sunscreen and I’m allergic to it! 😭 Hopefully they come out with a version that isn’t a mineral SPF. I checked out Sephora’s listing of the product, and a ton of people had bad reactions to it, and I bet a lot of them have unknown skin allergies. Mineral SPF is a common skin allergy that can be frustrating when navigating makeup and skincare.

I keep wondering why on the Natasha Denona website, palettes containing carmine are listed as vegan. If you’re allergic to carmine or disagree with crushing beetles to put on your eyes, you have to scour the ingredients lists (and hope they’re accurate).
